Prunka-Jenner Continuum

This is a long-standing collaboration with New Orleans saxophonist Michael Jenner.  Mike and I have been good friends since the days when I lived in New Orleans, and have always had a near-telepathic musical relationship.  A few years ago we recorded this album with some other good friends, and hopefully captured some of the spirit of our camaraderie.  

We occasionally get together for shows in New Orleans or New York, and usually perform originals or a mix of favorites from Lennie Tristano, Warne Marsh, Ted Brown and Lee Konitz.

There's something different about playing music with old friends, people you've known a long time and who know you.
It was really nice to get together with old friends for a few days in New Orleans and just play some original tunes. Hopefully, we captured some of that longstanding friendship in the sound of the record.
