Here's a little video I made to demonstrate the backing tracks I will be sharing - just playing a little taqsim in maqam Nawa Athar. This track is over the iqa (rhythm) known as Bambi or Bamb Masri.
These tracks are all real musicians, playing full tracks with variation in dynamics, intensity, complexity, etc.! No loops or samples. For me, this is a lot more fun than the static feeling of playing along with an unchanging loop, midi-programmed samples, or drum machine sounds.
