From Egypt via Chicago, Karim coils buzuq, percussion, analog and oratory into a storyline. He partners with his audience to reach a joyfully communal state. He is a TEDx speaker, producer of 17 albums, composer, playwright, teacher and cassette addict. He will be joined by John Murchison on qanun, Gideon Forbes on nay, and other surprise enablers.
